It's great to see so many of our juniors back this season.
The range is available on Friday nights 7 - 9 pm to all registered members, come out and join the fun and meet your fellow archers, non-members can shoot for a $5 fee.
I would like to remind everyone that the reason we have such a great club is because of the volunteers (that means you!). If you see that the bathrooms need to be cleaned - please clean them, all the cleaning products are under the sink in the coffee room. If the garbage cans are full please wrap it up and take home, or the cardboard and paper to a recycle bin. You can support the JOP program by taking all of your empty cans and bottles to B.B.K. Bottle Depot and credit the account of Silvertip Archers.
Previously the club purchased 12 new bows, 10 right and 2 left handed. Along with matching arrows this equipment is available for all new students to use. We have also obtained resource manuals for the coaches and plan on adding to this resource library to give the coaches as much information in instructing your children as possible.
If you have questions regarding the J.O.P. program, equipment or shooting just ask the coaches they are very knowledgeable.Just a reminder that you must pay the $1 fee each time y ou shoot whether you are scoring or not. This is a range fee that is used to replace the butts, targets, foam and supplies.
For those juniors who are shooting on a 40 cm target your highest score for the months Oct - Feb will automatically be submitted for the Provincial Mail-Match (along with other junior archers in the province). These scores are tabulated each month and we will get results sheets from the provincial coordinator, so watch for these.
We will be looking for a few parent helpers from each class to help with the paperwork of processing the scores and also an assistant to help with the shole of the program. If you have the time and would like to help assist me with this work please contact the JOP Coordinators:
